Helen Smith specialises in kiln formed glass, creating art pieces which draw inspiration from the landscape of the Dee estuary. Products also include vases, platters created from old bottles, and a collection of elegant fused glass jewellery such as pendants, cufflinks and earrings in smooth, pebble-like forms. Her other mediums of choice include print and stitch work, exploring the interplays of light, surface and texture.
Smith enjoys using recycled materials in her craft, working with discarded, broken and scrapped glass to create sustainably chic, original pieces. This year she has been experimenting with mark making and drawing using glass powders, creating a brand new range of dishes and platters, as well as a series of framed wall panels. Prices range from £5 – £200.
